Das massiv verschraubte Geh\u00e4use der Preventor HD12\u2122 ist bis 15 bar wasserdicht und damit bestens f\u00fcr den Alltag wie auch f\u00fcr den Kontakt mit Wasser geeignet. Gefertigt wird es aus dem neu entwickelten HD12\u2122-Stahl von Hanhart, bei dem in einem mehrstufigen H\u00e4rtungsverfahren Kohlenstoff in den Edelstahl eindiffundiert wird. Dadurch entsteht ein gradueller \u00dcbergang vom z\u00e4heren Kern bis hin zur harten Oberfl\u00e4che. Zus\u00e4tzlich erh\u00e4lt das Geh\u00e4use eine transparente PVD-Beschichtung, die es noch widerstandsf\u00e4higer gegen Kratzer macht. So erreicht der HD12\u2122-Stahl eine Oberfl\u00e4chenh\u00e4rte von beeindruckenden 1200 HV nach Vickers \u2013 mehr als das F\u00fcnffache im Vergleich zu herk\u00f6mmlichem Edelstahl vom Typ 316L mit rund 220 HV. Zum Vergleich: Das kratzfeste, konvex gew\u00f6lbte Saphirglas der Uhr besitzt eine H\u00e4rte von etwa 2000 HV.<\/p>\n

Das fein abgestimmte Oberfl\u00e4chenfinish kombiniert geb\u00fcrstete Fl\u00e4chen an Bandh\u00f6rnern, Geh\u00e4useflanken und L\u00fcnette mit polierten Akzenten, darunter das historische Hanhart-\u201eh\u201c-Logo an der Krone und auf der R\u00fcckseite. Es steuert Stunden, Minuten und die Zentralsekunde, wobei die Hanhart-Version bewusst ohne Datumsanzeige und auch ohne Datums-Rastposition der Krone ausgef\u00fchrt ist. Das Werk schl\u00e4gt mit einer Frequenz von 4 Hertz beziehungsweise 28.800 Halbschwingungen pro Stunde und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine Sekundenstopp-Funktion bei gezogener Krone, die pr\u00e4zises Einstellen der Zeit erm\u00f6glicht.
